Albrecht Durer's House.
Albrecht Dürer (1471–1528), Germany's most famous artist, lived and worked in this massive 5 story, half-timbered house for nearly 20 years, from 1509 onwards.
The house was built in1420.
The House lies in the extreme north-west of Nuremberg's Altstadt, near the Kaiserburg section of the Nuremberg Castle and the Tiergärtnertor of Nuremberg's city walls

This chair is a Italian Renaissance style called a Savonarola or Dante Chair.
The design comes from the ancient Roman X-shaped chair that was very popular in medieval Italy.
It is one of the oldest forms of chair or stool, with examples reaching back to the 2nd millennium BC
