Designing a production-ready audio compressor
This looks really cool.
..
...
The Erica's website link to the compressor is here.
I think I'll probably need to go down this rabbit hole sooner or later.
The builds are easy and very educational.

Erica Synths Syntrx and an original Synthi AKS.
Part One of the shootout between the Erica Synths Syntrx and an original Synthi AKS.
Simple patches are compared highlighting a single Oscillator, FM, RingMod, Filter, Reverb & Noise. This video simply compares Sound and Timbre, not the functionality, extras or differences in the Matrix implementation.
It's important to remember that no two original Synthi' are the same. I have a Putney & AKS and I can
never get exactly the same sounds from each even when the patch is identical.
The mechanical pins used in the matrix have different resistances .. and just these can alter the sound.
The Erica Matrix of course doesn't have these "limitations" ..... though I like to see the inconsistency of the old fashioned EMS matrix as part of its charm.
(Part Two will look at a Putney VCS3 and some more complex patches).
Thanks to Allinaire for the use of his new Syntrx.

Sounds great. We tried to copy a patch from my AKS synthi.
They sounded very similar.

Pioneer Squid & Erica Synths trigger module
Simple controls ... just one program button.
I'm using it with my Pioneer Toraz Squid.
These settings are my personal ones, though you can use whatever midi notes & channels you wish.
My setup.
Each of the 8 drum tracks transmits data on Midi 1, Channel 1 .
(just mute tracks 9 - 16) trig1 - c4
trig2 - d4
trig3 - e4
trig4 - f4
trig 5 - g4
trig 6 - a4
trig 7 - b4
trig 8 - c5
To program the module
1. Set up the Squid as above.
2. Press the Program button on the Erica module for 2 seconds
3. LED 1 will light up
4. on track 1 (Squid) press a trigger pad firmly.
5. LED 2 will light up
6. On track 2 (Squid) press a trigger pad firmly.
7. LED 3 should now light up.
8. Continue this until all the 8 triggers are programmed.

Erica Synths - Midi to Trigger
This is a fantastic module.
I use it mainly with my Keystep Pro.
This has a default setting which outputs drum triggers via MIDI on channel 10.
(this can of course be changed).
To program the Erica module set the MIDI channel first.
1. Push & hold the PROG button while powering on the modular synth.
2. press a note on the keyboard.
If your sequencer uses channel 1 press C
For channel 2, press C#
In my case, as I want channel 10, I press A
3. Push the PROG button again for 2secs
Trigger 1 LED will go on.
4. Push the key you want to assign to trigger 1.
5. Trigger 2 LED should now light up
6. Push the key you want to assign to LED 2
7. LED 3 should now light up.
8. Repeat till you have programmed all the triggers.
Enjoy
