Roland RS 202 - internal pics

I recently purchased a Roland RS 202 on line.
Wasn't sure if it was even working.

This synth was made in 1976. The older brother to the RS-101 (a commercial flop).
The 202 has a vibrato & Ensemble/chorus..... the precursor to the famous "Juno effect".

These are still reasonably priced.
Its fully polyphonic, That is all 61 keys can be played simultaneously.

There are 3 sound presets:
String 1 (low cello & bass)
String 2 (higher pitch -- Viola / Violin)
Brass

These are some pics of the internals.

All those hand wired looms.

Tone control & Filter (FL-6A) board (above)

Power supply board is to the extreme left.
Modulator board (ET-8A) in the middle
Tone generator & gate circuit (AGH-2B)to the extreme right

Below is the Tone generator and gate circuit board.
It connects to the keyboard.
The ICs are LM3216 (x10)
TC4001
The big IC in the centre is a LM8071

Close up of the Modulator board
The 3 ICS are Panasonic MN3002 chips.
These are BBD chips for the Chorus ensemble

PSU

Lovely to see these handmade / soldered boards.
They sure don't make them like this anymore.
